What I Wore

Hello friends!  I have a roundup of what I’ve worn over the last week or so to share with you today!  This CRAZY GEORGIA SPRING WEATHER is about to drive me bananas, and jumping back and forth between warm and cold weather does not make dressing easy in the mornings!  Here’s what I’ve been wearing lately: So this post could also be titled, “Amanda learns to style her new haircut.” Or even, “vote on your favorite way Amanda should style[Read more]

Spring 2018 Must Haves

It’s that time of year!!  Though we are having a wintery week, Spring is so close I can literally feel it.  I am so anxious to wear dresses, and short sleeves, and SANDALS! We had a cold winter (for Georgia), and I’m ready for warm temps. And Spring fashion is SO GOOD this season.  Lots of florals and feminine pieces, and bows and ruffles, and other details to make this girly girl awfully giddy.  So today I’m showing my fashion[Read more]

What I Wore

Hello friends!  To be honest, I have not done a  great job of getting dressed out of my jammies and/or athleisure the past few weeks- with all the dreary, rainy days, the days playing nurse, and the winter break days that we hardly left the house, I’ve had few people to impress!  But I tell you one thing…I have not felt as put together or as productive as I typically do when I get up and get ready and dressed! [Read more]

Spring Blouses

Please bring me some warm temps, Mother Nature.  I have never been so ready for springtime (it’s like all I’ve been talking about, ha!).  Between the cold winter (the fluctuating back and forth is DRIVING ME CRAZY) and all the sickness going around, I need some warm weather and fresh air, and maybe some pretty spring blouses to lift my spirits! I love love love stripes (always), and am loving the statement sleeves I’m seeing all over this season.  Ruffles, lace-up[Read more]

Spring Haircut

I’ve got the itch.  My hair has been long for quite a while now, and is just not working for me anymore.  I think I’m ready to get an updated cut and give it a good whack!  Nothing like a new haircut for Springtime, right?  Now I just have to decide what I’m going to do.  Here are some favorites: Thoughts??  I’m clearly loving texture and long bob styles.  I’m also up for some color suggestions…thinking about having a professional[Read more]

Dreaming of Springtime

Maybe it’s because we’ve had so much cold weather this winter (I know, a cold winter, weird?!  But it’s been much colder than normal by Georgia standards!), and I am not typically like this, but I am dreaming of springtime!  Warmer temps, lighter layers, and closer to summer break!  I am still compiling my Spring Must Haves for the season, but here are a few items that I am coveting once that warmer weather does finally arrive! I think this pretty[Read more]

What I Wore

Hello friends!  I hope your week is going well so far!  I’m sharing my outfits for the week for What I Wore Wednesday.  I’m always inspired by Lindsey from The Pleated Poppy, and here’s what she says: “As a stay-at-home, work-at-home mom, I have always found it to be a struggle to put fashion before comfort – I’d rather stay cozy and lounge in grubby clothes all day – are you with me?!  But really, I don’t actually feel better. [Read more]

Things I Love: Transitional Dresses

Hi friends!  I mean… are you as glad it’s Friday as I am??  We have had a brutal week- early mornings, late nights, and busy days in between.  Thankfully we’ll have a pretty laid back weekend and I plan on taking FULL advantage of it.  In the meantime, let’s talk dresses! I have a hard time buying clothes from January through April.  It’s unlikely here in Georgia that it will be consistently warm until May. But do I really want to[Read more]

What I Wore

Happy Wednesday!  Halfway through the week, whoo-hoo!  Since I was in my pj’s most days last week (thanks, snow days!), I Have four outfits to share today for What I Wore! As I mentioned on Monday, I was invited to be a pattern tester for one of my favorite indie pattern designers last week, and this was one of the finished products!  I am actually much more comfortable sewing wovens, so this knit top was good practice.  This pattern was so[Read more]

Valentine’s Day Outfit Ideas

So to be very honest, Scott and I don’t make Valentine’s Day a big deal.  Once upon a time, it was fun to get dressed up and go out to an overpriced and extremely crowded Valentine’s Day dinner, but now we might exchange a small gift and go out to lunch, but that’s about the extent of it.  I mean, every day is Valentine’s Day when you’re married to Scott Luton! **Insert mega eye rolls here, haha** But what I[Read more]
