Father’s Day Dresses

If your husband is anything like mine, he has a closet full of dress shirts for work, and he only wears a handful.  He’s got some from college that he just can’t let go of, some that don’t fit, and some that just aren’t his style anymore (or never were!).  Instead of throwing them in a garbage bag and hauling them off to goodwill, I decided to make a few special dresses for my girls out of Scott’s old dress[Read more]

Earlier this spring, I was so honored (and excited!!) to be invited to do some really fun pattern testing, and I am finally able to share the results with you today!  The amazingly talented Caroline Hulse of Sew Caroline and Katie Skoog of The Simple Life Pattern Company joined forces to create the sweetest collaborative Mommy & Me 6-Pattern Collection!  I have several of both Caroline’s women’s patterns and Katie’s girl’s patterns and have tested for Caroline in the past, so testing for[Read more]

I have such a fun DIY for you today!  Do you ever see something in a store or while shopping online and think, “I could definitely make that.”  I do it ALL. THE. TIME!!  And when I started seeing so many cute and colorful tassels all over jewelry, clothing, and accessories last year, I thought that very thing– I could totally make those!  So I scoured Pinterest one night, grabbed some embroidery floss, and made tassel after tassel and was[Read more]

Vintage Goat & Lulu: DIY Chalkboard Wall

I don’t know if it’s the weather warming up and wanting to de-winterize my house, or just a nagging feeling to get some creativity out, but I have been planning a bunch of DIYs around the house!  I’m thinking of adding another chalkboard wall or two in a few different rooms and thought I would post this “vintage Goat & Lulu” post from my old blog!  I used to post a lot more DIYs (I had a little bit more[Read more]

Pattern Testing: Ania Tunic from Coffee & Thread

Earlier this month, I was so excited to be selected to be a tester for Coffee & Thread’s just released pattern, the Ania Tunic!  I have tested one other new pattern before, and it is extremely empowering and undoubtedly humbling at the same time to help a pattern designer (aka GENIUS) perfect their sewing patterns for mass release.  Olga from Coffee & Thread is so talented, and I used her gorgeous Eleena Dress pattern to sew up the girls Easter/Baptism dresses back[Read more]
