What I Wore Wednesday

Hi Friends!  It’s been a few weeks since I did a WIWW post, so I have a bunch of pictures to share.  If you’re new to my blog or haven’t been reading long, I started following Lindsay at The Pleated Poppy years ago, and her What I Wore Wednesday posts.  She started posting the outfits she wears each week to encourage herself to get out of the stay at home mom pajamas and yoga pants rut, and start getting dressed[Read more]

What I Wore Wednesday

I have a full week’s worth of outfits ready for this WIWW!  We are on the edge of springtime, and these 70 degree temps have been glorious!  Here’s what I wore this week… I love cotton tunics when it starts getting warmer out.  They are easy to wear over jeans or with shorts, and are lightweight enough even to wear when it’s hot out.  I’ve had this one a few years now, and is still one of my favorites. Neutral[Read more]

What I Wore Wednesday

Two weeks in a row for WIWW posts…might be a recent record!  Thanks so much for the sweet comments and messages about my post last week…I am so glad to know that there are a few folks out there that like these little posts!  And honestly, I’m glad I started back, because they really give good motivation to get up and get dressed and get some use out of the clothes in my closet!  Plus, I like looking back on[Read more]

What I Wore Wednesday

Hi Friends!  An oldie but a goodie, I decided to write a new WIWW post!!  I know each time that I have written one of these posts in the past several months or so I say that I’m going to try to keep up with them and continue posting on a weekly basis, and then I never do.  So I’m not going to make one of those promises today, haha, but I hope I can keep up with them!  I[Read more]

What I Wore Wednesday

So, I have been trying to be better (again) about taking photos of my outfits each day, so I am back today with WIWW!  Here’s what I wore this past week: My favorite dress that I have made for myself, hands down!  The pattern I used was the Washi Dress by Rae Hoekstra, and I already have another one cut out and ready to sew, and plans for several more.  The dress fit perfectly (thanks to a well-designed pattern), and[Read more]

What I Wore Wednesday

I got myself together this week and was able to create a new What I Wore Wednesday post!  The whole point of WIWW is to take pictures of outfits every day to encourage myself to get dressed and get going, and make the most out of the clothes in my closet.  I have definitely been slacking this summer (but it is summer…), but I made it happen this week!  So here’s what I wore… This dress was pretty much the deal[Read more]

What I Wore Wednesday

Hi Friends!  First of all, thank you for all the sweet birthday wishes yesterday!!  I think 33 is going to be one heck of a year. 🙂  Secondly, welcome to WIWW!  These posts have been few and far between lately, but I have several outfits to share today. I like Lilly Pulitzer, and have a few Lilly dresses, but I was not waiting in line at 6 am outside of Target waiting for the collection to debut last month.  Not[Read more]

What I Wore Wednesday: Spring Dresses

I feel like we have really been blessed with an actual springtime season this year in Georgia.  We have had lots (and lots and lots) of rain, yes, but we have also had these lovely 65-75 degree days that are warm enough for bare legs or short sleeves, but necessitate a jacket or pair of jeans.  It seems like in recent years past, we only have about 2 weeks of springtime before winter morphs right into our typical hot, humid[Read more]

What I Wore Wednesday: Handmade Wardrobe

As much as I love to shop (which is a lot), I love to sew.  Children’s clothes are easy to sew because they don’t take much time, and don’t take up much fabric either.  The lines are also pretty simple, since kids are pretty much straight up and down, with few curves.   But women’s clothing can be intimidating sometimes.  Women are obviously much more curvy, and you can’t make a women’s dress out of a yard of fabric like[Read more]

What I Wore Wednesday

Finally, I took the time to assemble another WIWW post!  The weather, over the last few weeks, has been about as unpredictable and as varied as possible.  75 degrees and sunny one day, and 50 the next.  Not only is it totally frustrating, since I am so ready for warm weather (consistent warm weather), but it is so hard to know what to wear and how to dress the kids! I have been trying to dress myself and the kids in[Read more]
