Fall Family Pictures 2017

One of my favorite times of the year (and Scott’s LEAST favorite, ha) is when we get our annual family pictures taken!  Since Grayson was a baby, we’ve had our family pictures made in the fall of each year, just in time for Christmas and we had ours done this year by the lovely and talented Laura Roush of Laura Roush Photography. I was actually lucky enough to WIN a free session with her!  Earlier this year, she hosted a[Read more]

2017 Fall Must-Haves

Fall is hands-down my favorite season for lots of reasons, but it’s definitely my favorite for shopping!!  Jeans, jackets, boots– all my faves.  And speaking of faves, I have put together my must-haves for the fall 2017 season!  Instead of heading to the mall (or, let’s be honest, shopping online) without a plan for what I want and/or what I need in my closet, I make a list of the most important things I want to buy for the season[Read more]

Lutons do Disney 2017: What We Learned

I know y’all are probably sick of hearing about our trip, and this is the last post about it, I promise (I think :))! Now, as a preface to this post, I am no Disney expert.  This is the first trip we took to Disney World as a family, and I am certainly a novice when it comes to planning a Disney trip and all the tricks and hacks and special secrets that come with experience.  BUT, I do know that[Read more]

Lutons do Disney 2017: The Trip

We took our first family trip to Disney World last week, and y’all, it was the trip of a lifetime.   We started talking about it September 2016, and officially booked it in December 2016.  I have been reading and plotting, researching and dreaming, praying and planning ever since then, trying to design the best surprise Disney trip for the kids, Scott, and I that I possibly could.  And in one word, the trip was MAGICAL.  I’ll have a second post[Read more]

Headed to Disney + Dining Reservations

Hi Friends!!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend.  We made our drive down to Orlando yesterday, and are heading to the Magic Kingdom today!!  I will share ALLLLLLLLL the details (probably far more than you are interested in, haha!) once we get back, especially how we SURPRISED the kids with the entire Disney trip, but I’m keeping it short and sweet today! Since I typically share my meal plan for the week on Mondays, I thought I’d share our[Read more]

Goat & Lulu Obsession: LipSense

I am a big fan of lipstick. And I have been for years– since I started wearing makeup regularly- like back in 7th grade!  Even throughout college, I worked at the Lancome counter in the Lincoln, Nebraska Von Maur because I loved makeup so much (one of my all-time favorite jobs, by the way)!  I like brights, neutrals, pinks, REDS, corals, berries, and everything in between, and it is extremely unusual to see me without lipstick on.  So naturally, when[Read more]

Five on Friday

Hello friends!  I know I say this all the time but WHOOOAAAA, this week has been ridiculous.  But YEAH– we have three kids, three businesses we’re running, on top of friends, family, baseball/softball, OH YEAH I NEED TO CLEAN THE HOUSE AND DO SOME LAUNDRY, church, school, I NEED TO SHOWER AT SOME POINT, and oh yeah, SLEEP!  Haha, no rest for the weary, right?!  Here are five things for this Friday before the three day weekend (cheers to that, amirite??!),[Read more]

What I Wore

I have done a pretty bad job of taking photos of my outfits over the course of the last few weeks!  But I have a few for you today, and will try to do better for next week.  So here are a few things I’ve been wearing lately: Embroidery is my jam, and I can’t wait to continue the trend into fall.  Also, I wore this dress/tunic on Mother’s Day with a ruffled skirt extender, but I also love how[Read more]

Solar Eclipse 2017

We had such a fun afternoon watching the eclipse as a family yesterday!  I checked the kids out of school after Brantley was so sweet and said she wanted to watch the eclipse with her brother and sister.  So we had a little eclipse party in our driveway! We headed outside at about 2:00, knowing that it was going to peak about 2:37.  We spread out a quilt, got out our eclipse-themed snacks, and alternated back and forth on the[Read more]

What Excites Your Kids?

Children can be so gloriously unpredictable.  We can spend so much time and money planning a fun surprise or outing for them, only to elicit a lukewarm reception, but they go bananas over a new bottle of bubble bath.  Sometimes the simplest things to us adults totally blow the minds of our kids!  What a lesson for us, right?  The world can seem to be full of unremarkable things to us but are actually so magical through our childrens’ eyes!  Inspired by this post[Read more]
