What We’ve Watched Over Christmas Break + More Suggestions on What to Binge Watch

I have to be honest…we are BIG time TV people (if you’ve read this blog for long enough, you know this already :)).  When I was up sewing every night a few years ago, I used to watched Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, as I sewed.  Even now, I love watching Netflix and Scott and I DVR tons of shows to watch after the kids go to bed.  There is a bunch of junk on TV, but there are SO MANY[Read more]

Friday Randoms

Hello!  Pardon me for the unexpected break…the first week of December has me all like WHOA.  Christmas shopping, party planning, football watching, a few unexpected work projects, throw in a little pink eye, and the ole blog gets away from me.  But, I am back today to share a few things going on, a few things I’m loving, and a few randoms thrown in too. 🙂 I posted this picture on Instagram and Facebook the other night of my beloved[Read more]

Election Day 2016

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”  2 Corinthians 7:14 Today, on Election Day, I will pray.  And then I will vote for my selection of the next President of the United States.  And then I will pray more (and watch the election coverage obsessively all[Read more]

Halloween Celebrations Recap

We had quite a streak of Halloween celebrations this year!  I have to admit, I am glad it’s passed and that we’re moving on to Thanksgiving and Christmas (can you even believe we are here already?!), but we had so much fun while it lasted!  Here’s a little recap of all the fun we had:   Harvest Festival and Pumpkin Math Day  Last Thursday, we had such a fun (but-OMG-exhausting!) day at Ben’s preschool for their annual Harvest Festival, and then in[Read more]

Pregnancy & Infant Loss Month: My Miscarriage

It’s hard to imagine these days, with my hours filled with carpool lines, cheerleading uniforms, legos, the toothfairy, sight words, and bedtimes, that there was a time of great loss in my life.  It’s hard to imagine when I look in the eyes of my three healthy children, that there was a time when I wasn’t sure that I would become a mother at all.  In honor of Pregnancy & Infant Loss Month, I thought I would repost my own personal connection to[Read more]

Back to School Sweet Teacher Treats with a Free Printable!

We had such a wonderful first day of school yesterday!!  Brantley had her first day of 2nd grade, and my Gracie Girl started KINDERGARTEN (which blows my mind completely), and I met them in the car line yesterday afternoon, and they both had the biggest smiles that their little faces could bear.  But more on that later this week. 🙂  What I really want to share today is a sweet teacher treat and free printable to go along with it!![Read more]

Lutons Lately

I keep feeling like I post a lot about my Monday meal planning, and things I like on Fridays, and other “series” type posts here and there, but I don’t post as much about the day-to-day randoms or the goings-on of our family as much anymore.  Maybe those posts take a bit longer to write and I don’t have a ton of time on my hands right now, but I thought I’d throw together another “Lutons Lately” to fill you[Read more]

Brantley’s 7th Birthday

Last month, our big girl turned seven!  Her birthday was on a Saturday, and since Scott had an out-of-town work conference in Louisville, Kentucky the same weekend, we decided to treat Brantley to a little trip out of town by herself with mom and dad!  We didn’t tell her the big surprise until the day before, and she was SO EXCITED when she found out that she was going to get a special big girl trip for her special day!![Read more]

Things I Like

Who’s ready for the weekend??!!  After recovering from vacation, and having a busy week (what’s new), we’re ready for another break, hahaha!  We have plans for the weekend that include our local parade, fresh veggies, lots of red white and blue, a little trip to the mountains, and lots of relaxing!  On my list of things that I like this week, #11 could be long Fourth of July weekends, but that’s a given, right? 🙂 Big Brother- Our favorite show of[Read more]
