Four Years of Father-Daughter Dances + Weekly Meal Plan

On Friday night, Scott went to his FOURTH Father-Daughter Dance with his little girls (WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE). It’s Brantley’s and Grayson’s favorite night of year!  Fancy dresses, (a little bit of) makeup, (just barely) high heels, and a special night out with their Daddy. As I was posting this year’s pictures, I was reminded of years past.  Anyone remember this sweet little girl? Brantley’s first Daddy-Daughter Dance was in kindergarten, and I thought she looked so, so beautiful[Read more]

Currently…

I haven’t written up a Currently post in a while (this one and this one were the last ones!)!  Here’s what’s currently on my mind and on my heart… Appreciating- The amazing Children’s Ministry staff at our church.  The kids LOVE going on Wednesdays and Sundays (and at minimum one of the three cries when we leave), and Gracie and Brantley just joined the Glee Club, which meets during our Sunday service (Ben’s not quite old enough yet).  So they are belting out their praise[Read more]

What We’ve Been Watching + Weekly Meal Plan

Happy Monday!  I hope everyone had a great weekend!  We took it easy- did some laundry, tidied the house, took Brantley for her softball observation on Saturday, then returned back home for more relaxing.  Sunday was super rainy and yucky, and as much as we were tempted to stay in bed, we made it to Sunday school and church.  But that was as productive as I got- I took a pretty solid Sunday afternoon nap on the couch!  Woke up to[Read more]

Lutons Lately + Weekly Meal Plan

Hello Friends!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend!  We spent our time cleaning the house, relaxing, getting a lot of work done, and getting these kids ready to go back to school today!  Today I thought I’d share what’s been going on around here lately, and what we’ve been up to. Last weekend we headed to Columbia, South Carolina, for a Luton family reunion!  We joined my in-laws, brothers and sisters in law, all the cousins, my husband’s aunts[Read more]

What Worked in 2017 + Weekly Meal Plan

Hello Friends!  I hope y’all had a wonderful weekend.  We drove to South Carolina Friday night and visited with our Luton family on Saturday for a family reunion (photos coming soon!).  We drove home afterward and went to bed at 10:00 (a recent record for me- I’m typically a night owl!) because we were WORN OUT.  Sunday was for church and laundry, and even though the kids were out of school yesterday to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, there’s no[Read more]

My Word for 2018

I have been working on goal setting for 2018 since November.  Last year, I was late to the game– once I decided I wanted to work on creating an action plan for setting and reaching my goals for 2017, the tool I wanted to use was sold out.  And from there, I just could not make a decision on exactly what I wanted to do, so I just let it go.  So when the end of the year rolled around,[Read more]

November Favorites

CAN YOU EVEN BELIEVE THAT IT IS DECEMBER 1ST???!!!  Christmas is practically tomorrow, and November is gone!  We had a fun and busy month, and it just flew by.  Here are a few of my favorites from November… Volunteering for Veterans- We spent two wonderful days this month serving veterans and their families.  Scott and I were both so proud of the kids and their enthusiasm and hard work that they put into volunteering.  It was wonderful time spent as[Read more]

Scenes from Thanksgiving + Weekly Meal Plan

Hello Friends!  I hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving break, with lots of good food, tons of good family time, and maybe a pajama day (or two).  We were able to spend time with family- we were in Blue Ridge last weekend and in Aiken early last week- and then were able to spend the rest of the week at home, just our little family of five. When I was growing up, we spent most holidays with just our immediate[Read more]

Week in Review: Thankful

I’m pretty sure that when I post on Fridays, the first line literally every time is, “whew, what a week.” But, we just do not slow down around here, and here again, WHEW, it has been a busy week!!!  And we are so thankful for it.   So before we get our Thanksgiving Break started (no school ALL next week!!!), I wanted to share some of the highlights from this past week and what we’ve been up to. Last weekend, we celebrated Veteran’s[Read more]
