Lutons Lately

I have been so busy that I feel like I haven’t shared much about what we’ve been doing lately!  So here’s what we’ve been up to: We took the big girl out to lunch all by herself last week.  We took her to her favorite place (Chili’s- not our favorite though, haha) and got to have a little one on one (actually two on one, I guess) time with our oldest!  Doesn’t happen often! *** I have been thinking about adjusting my[Read more]

So Thankful it’s Friday!!

WHAT. A. WEEK. Oh my goodness.  It was supposed to be fall break, and yes, the kids were home from school, but it was anything but a break!!  I’m exhausted, they’re all sick,  and we’re just so, SO happy that it’s Friday.  We had to reschedule several things this week and change our weekend plans, but more than anything, we are hoping to be able to relax and rest a bit!  Sleep a little late on Saturday, maybe head to[Read more]

Friday Favorites

Never sad to see a Friday, and today is no exception!  The kids have early release today, then I have conferences with Brantley’s and Grayson’s teachers, and then we’re off for a week for Fall Break!  We have a few fun things planned, and I am also hoping for some downtime and relaxation too. Today I’m sharing a few of our favorite things from this past week.  Wishing you a very happy Friday and a great weekend! Dirty John Podcast[Read more]

Date Night In Box + Weekly Meal Plan

Scott and I are homebodies.  We love a good dinner out once in a while, but most weekends (and weeknights, duh), you can find us on our sofas, half-watching tv and half-on our computers.  Romantic, right? Haha!  So when I came across Date Night In Boxes a few months ago, I thought it sounded like a fun way to shake up our typical evening routine.  And a few weeks ago, we tried one out! We got our cute little box[Read more]

Lutons do Disney 2017: What We Learned

I know y’all are probably sick of hearing about our trip, and this is the last post about it, I promise (I think :))! Now, as a preface to this post, I am no Disney expert.  This is the first trip we took to Disney World as a family, and I am certainly a novice when it comes to planning a Disney trip and all the tricks and hacks and special secrets that come with experience.  BUT, I do know that[Read more]

Lutons do Disney 2017: The Trip

We took our first family trip to Disney World last week, and y’all, it was the trip of a lifetime.   We started talking about it September 2016, and officially booked it in December 2016.  I have been reading and plotting, researching and dreaming, praying and planning ever since then, trying to design the best surprise Disney trip for the kids, Scott, and I that I possibly could.  And in one word, the trip was MAGICAL.  I’ll have a second post[Read more]

Headed to Disney + Dining Reservations

Hi Friends!!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend.  We made our drive down to Orlando yesterday, and are heading to the Magic Kingdom today!!  I will share ALLLLLLLLL the details (probably far more than you are interested in, haha!) once we get back, especially how we SURPRISED the kids with the entire Disney trip, but I’m keeping it short and sweet today! Since I typically share my meal plan for the week on Mondays, I thought I’d share our[Read more]

What. a. week.  I know I say that just about every Friday, but WHEW!!!  I mean, let’s have a busy week, plan and pack for our biggest (and only!) vacation of the year, and OH YEAH, let’s throw in a hurricane.  WHAT?! Our week was full of board games, pajamas, praying, movie marathons, vegan banana bread (you’d never know the difference!), choir practice, baseball, softball, list-making, packing, printing, napping, Books with Bammy, errand running, sewing, planning, plotting, and waiting! And[Read more]

Lutons Lately + Weekly Meal Plan

Hi Friends!  I hope you are safe and secure and out of the way or Hurricane Irma that is blowing through Florida and now up through Georgia today.  We’re experiencing Tropical Storm-force winds and rain here today, and since they cancelled school for today and tomorrow, with the exception of a meeting I had to run to, we’re hanging out at home, hunkered down! We have had so much going on in the past week and a fun weekend, so[Read more]
