Things I Like

Who’s ready for the weekend??!!  After recovering from vacation, and having a busy week (what’s new), we’re ready for another break, hahaha!  We have plans for the weekend that include our local parade, fresh veggies, lots of red white and blue, a little trip to the mountains, and lots of relaxing!  On my list of things that I like this week, #11 could be long Fourth of July weekends, but that’s a given, right? 🙂 Big Brother- Our favorite show of[Read more]

Hello Monday

Hi friends!  Hope you had a wonderful weekend!  We went to our local farmer’s market for the first time this year and it was so wonderful!  The rest of our weekend was pretty low key (Scott has been feeling under the weather), but it was nice and relaxing which was welcome, since we have a pretty busy week!  We are headed out of town on Thursday (more on that in a minute) and our dinners this week will consist of[Read more]

Pattern Testing: Ania Tunic from Coffee & Thread

Earlier this month, I was so excited to be selected to be a tester for Coffee & Thread’s just released pattern, the Ania Tunic!  I have tested one other new pattern before, and it is extremely empowering and undoubtedly humbling at the same time to help a pattern designer (aka GENIUS) perfect their sewing patterns for mass release.  Olga from Coffee & Thread is so talented, and I used her gorgeous Eleena Dress pattern to sew up the girls Easter/Baptism dresses back[Read more]

The Bible Study Box

I am a newbie to, but a passionate advocate of, Bible Studies.  Last summer, I joined a group of preschool mom friends as we formed a Bible Study group, and have loved growing in my faith and learning more and more about Jesus, and God, and Christianity, and myself than I could ever have imagined during these studies.  Which made me SO excited when I saw that a childhood friend of mine has formed a new company called, The Bible Study[Read more]

So….Let’s Talk About Snapchat

In an effort to stay relevant, and up to date with technology and the latest social media platforms, I joined Snapchat last week (actually, I had joined a few months ago, and COULD NOT wrap my head around it, so I actually just started posting and interacting this week).  Well, I LOVE IT.  Do I feel old?  And a little self-absorbed?  Umm, yeah.  But is it fun?  YES!!  I believe it has taken Instagram’s place as my favorite social media[Read more]

A Very Special Easter

What a beautiful Easter we had this year with our family.  We were so excited for the Easter Bunny, and more importantly to celebrate our risen Savior in church this morning, but as an added bonus, all three kids were baptized! But first thing was first on Sunday morning, the kids had to check and see if the Easter Bunny came! He did! After the kids opened all their eggs, dug through their baskets, and ate all the candy they[Read more]

I bypassed my normal Meal Plan Monday post and my WIWW post, since I have had a super busy week, and we’re eating five super easy and quick meals this week (nothing too exciting- spaghetti, pizza, tacos, grilled cheese and tomato soup, and ham/green beans/mac and cheese), and I haven’t worn much anything worth documenting.  Instead, I decided to write another “currently” post today, to fill you in on what’s been going on in our lives lately! Appreciating… my husband.  He has been[Read more]
