A Very Luton Christmas

Hello, Friends!  I hope you all had such a wonderful Christmas!  We spent a few days with my family and got home before lunch on Christmas Eve, spent a few hours at home, then headed to church for our first Christmas Eve service.  It was, in a word, magical.  The kids sat with us in the sanctuary (I brought coloring books and crayons, which was a life-saver), but by the end of the service, the families to the right of us[Read more]

Hi Friends!  We had a big time with our elves, Noodles, Sprinkles, and Sparkles this year.  Thought I’d share all the adventures they went on, the treats, they brought, and the fun we had! On Day One, the elves brought a letter, they introduced their new elf door, and brought chocolate advent calendars for the kids. Day 2- The elves and their friends had a sack race through the kitchen! Day 3- Noodles, Sprinkles, and Sparkles brought fun Christmas socks for[Read more]

Hi Friends!  We have been in full-blown holiday craziness-mode around here!  We went to Aiken last weekend (after the kids got sick last week), and we’ve been school party hopping, present giving, and wrapping up all our loose ends before school gets out today (WHOOP WHOOP) for THREE WEEKS (!!!!!!!!!!!!!) before we go back to school in January.  We’re headed to Blue Rigde tomorrow for a quick trip, and then coming back to have our family Christmas here[Read more]

Meal Plan Monday: Thanksgiving Edition

Hello Friends!  Happy Thanksgiving Week!  We had a wonderful weekend in Blue Ridge with my family, and are looking forward to heading to South Carolina on Tuesday to spend some time with Scott’s family.  It’s nice to have this whole week off so that we have time to run back and forth between both families, and then be home to celebrate Thanksgiving Day quietly at home with my sweet little family. What about you?  What do your plan entail?  Are[Read more]

Halloween Celebrations Recap

We had quite a streak of Halloween celebrations this year!  I have to admit, I am glad it’s passed and that we’re moving on to Thanksgiving and Christmas (can you even believe we are here already?!), but we had so much fun while it lasted!  Here’s a little recap of all the fun we had:   Harvest Festival and Pumpkin Math Day  Last Thursday, we had such a fun (but-OMG-exhausting!) day at Ben’s preschool for their annual Harvest Festival, and then in[Read more]

Things I Like

Who’s ready for the weekend??!!  After recovering from vacation, and having a busy week (what’s new), we’re ready for another break, hahaha!  We have plans for the weekend that include our local parade, fresh veggies, lots of red white and blue, a little trip to the mountains, and lots of relaxing!  On my list of things that I like this week, #11 could be long Fourth of July weekends, but that’s a given, right? 🙂 Big Brother- Our favorite show of[Read more]

Happy Birthday to our Gracie Girl

I can hardly believe this darling little peanut is five years old today. Sweet Grayson Caroline adds so much love to our lives, and I thought in honor of her fifth birthday today, I would share five (of the thousands of) things that we love about our Gracie. She loves to snuggle. Grayson is the sweetest little snuggler that there ever was.  One of her favorite things to do in the mornings is climb in our bed, burrow down into the blankets[Read more]

A Very Special Easter

What a beautiful Easter we had this year with our family.  We were so excited for the Easter Bunny, and more importantly to celebrate our risen Savior in church this morning, but as an added bonus, all three kids were baptized! But first thing was first on Sunday morning, the kids had to check and see if the Easter Bunny came! He did! After the kids opened all their eggs, dug through their baskets, and ate all the candy they[Read more]

Scenes from Thanksgiving

We have had a wonderful past week of Thanksgiving celebration- with both sides of family and now finally at home, just the five of us.  Here are some snapshots of the past few days giving thanks for the blessings in our life: We started out in Tybee Island, Georgia, for a few days spent with my family! My brother, his wife, and my niece, Sally Kate were there too, so the kids were able to get some fun cousin time[Read more]

Happy Friday!

Whew!  TGIF, y’all!  We are harvest festival-ed and trunk or treated out after yesterday, but ready to do it all over again tomorrow on Halloween!  The kids are so excited and I am pumped to pick all the delicious chocolate out of their bags after they go to bed, hahaha! I’ll share more about our Halloween activities next week, but for now, be safe and have a wonderful and Happy Halloween!
