What I Wore

Hello friends! I am back with outfits I’ve worn over the last two weeks! Let’s get started!

I have admired Matilda Jane’s womens clothes for a while, and when several of my favorite pieces went on sale after Christmas, I grabbed them up! This top is one- it’s a nice stretchy knit swing top, but it’s a slightly heavier weight so it’s not so flimsy and cheap-feeling. LOVE it.

Gray and Orange Striped Swing Top- Matilda Jane
Jeggings- WalMart
Floral Keds- Rifle Paper Co.

This $20 cardigan is one of my best buys all winter! You can dress it up to look professional or dress it down to be more casual. I wear it alllll the time!

Camel Cardi Duster- WalMart
Black Asymetrical Tee- I can’t remember!
Gold Locket- Dear Mushka
Black Jeggings- WalMart
Animal Print Booties- WALMART!

One of my favorite dresses last week when it wasn’t so frigid that I could wear it with bare legs!

Green Floral Dress- Old Navy
Gold Locket- Dear Mushka
Brown Boots- Old from Target

Another favorite new Matilda Jane top! The colors and tiers are so perfect, and see- the cardi again, but dressed down! And I had three people ask me where I found my booties when I wore this outfit the other day, and all three were blown away to find out they were from WalMart and were less than $20!!!!!!

Camel Cardi Duster- WalMart
Gold Locket- Dear Mushka
Distressed Jeans- WalMart
Animal Print Booties- WALMART!

I love wearing color, but honestly, all black is just so much easier. Grab a top, grab some pants, and you’re done. I think I need to purchase more black pieces for days I just want to phone it in and don’t want to have to think hard about a chic outfit! I wore this to a meeting last week and it was super easy.

Black Tunic Tee- Bella Grace
Black Jeggings- WalMart
Black Booties- WalMart
Black and White Tribal Scarf- Anthropologie

I am working on curating a professional work capsule wardrobe with affordable pieces that can mix and match and make lots of different outfits. This drapey blazer is one of those pieces! Looking at it on the rack, it was a big no, but I tried it on, and actually really liked it! I have a few other traditional structured blazers, but this one is a more generous, but still professional, fit. It’s perfect for a blouse and jeans or trousers, and will go great with lots of other pieces.

Black Drapey Blazer- WalMart (YES!)
Striped Blouse- Loft
Gold Locket- Dear Mushka
Jeggings- WalMart
Leopard Pointy Loafers- WalMart

My final Matilda Jane purchase! I love the boho style of this dress, which is great now with jeans and a jacket or cardi, and will be cute with sandals once it warms up.

Boho Dress- Matilda Jane
Brown Boots- Old from Target
Gold and Agate Necklace- Revolutionaries Market

When I find a silhouette I like, I tend to buy it over and over. Old Navy makes it easy for me because they reuse the same silhouettes over and over with different prints and different fabrics and I LOVE it! This dress is the same dress as the green floral above, just a different fabric. SOLD! Perfect for church.

Black Floral Dress- Old Navy
Gold A Necklace- Baublebar
Black Tights- Target
Black Boots- Macys
