I started doing these posts years ago to motivate myself to get out of yoga pants and get dressed to be more productive and feel a bit more confident with three very small kiddos at home. Sometimes I feel good about the posts, and sometimes I feel silly, but it always blows me away when I hear from people or read comments that they love my outfit posts because it gives them ideas or inspires them, or makes them feel like they can wear certain trends.
I read an article the other day about how getting dressed, even when you work from home or stay at home can not only make you feel more productive and feel more confident, it actually makes you more productive and makes you more confident. It’s not just a feeling! It’s a fact. And I’ve found the same true when the scales are um, “fluctuating” as well. Even if you’re not 100% happy with your weight or how you look, get dressed. Don’t hide. It changes your attitude and changes your confidence. I was talking with a friend of mine not long ago that mentioned that she wanted to go shopping, but was going to wait until she lost some weight. “But why??” I asked her. It doesn’t matter what size you are or if you’ve gained a few pounds. Get dressed, go shopping, get your hair done and take pride in the way you look, no matter if it’s your ideal weight or not. I promise you, you will feel better about yourself. And confidence and attitude are contagious and beautiful!
All that being said, I have ONE outfit to share today, ha! I have been pretty bad for the last several weeks (months?) about taking pictures of my outfits. and here I go again promising that I’ll do better!
This is one of the dresses I was talking about on Monday! My favorite red polka dot ruffle dress that I wore to church last week, and I plan to wear about 100 more times. It’s festive without being too
I’ll try to get better (AGAIN) about keeping up with these posts!
