We are lucky to have several fun holiday parties and events to attend this month (Scott might not consider us quite as lucky, ha! #homebody)! Which also means that I’ve needed some cute, festive holiday outfits! If you’ve followed me for long or read any of my outfit posts in the past, you know that I don’t love buying single-occasion outfits, and like for the pieces I buy to be very versatile. Buttttttttt… sometimes you just have to break your own rules! But if I had to buy a few holiday outfits, they were definitely going to be inexpensive. So I rounded up some really cute AND affordable pieces that will be perfect for all the Christmas parties and get-togethers this season! I have ordered several of these myself, and some were great and others didn’t quite work for me. Take a look…
One of my favorites!! This Pearl Beaded Sheer Sleeve Dress has the cutest beaded peter pan collar that comes with a sheer necktie. It’s festive enough to be a bit more special than usual with the beading, but not so fancy that you couldn’t wear it for other occasions too. I ordered this and LOVE it- I wore it out to dinner on Friday, as shown in the first photo in the post. It’s flattering and comfortable, and I got several compliments! Order according to the size chart (NOT your “typical” size) and you should be fine. And at less than $25, you cannot beat the
I have got a thing for sheer-sleeved dresses this season! This beautiful Evergreen Embroidered Sleeve Dress is such a pretty color, and the embroidery is to die for. I tried it though, and it runs small and the neckline just came up a bit too high for me. But it’s definitely worth trying. Especially at $18!!
This is a great option for a more casual party in a festive color! I ordered this Ruffled V Neck Polka Dot Dress in red and am seriously considering ordering it in the green and/or navy too because it is SO CUTE! It’s loose and ruffly, but not too cutesy. I’ve worn this one to church, and will probably wear it to one of the kids’ school functions. A steal at only $23!!
I wish this one would have worked! Another pretty sheer-sleeved
Another winner!! We have a dressier event this week, and this Chiffon Overlay Cocktail Dress is definitely a top contender. It’s very forgiving with a form-fitting sheath under the chiffon cape-style overlay. The chiffon hides a multitude of sins underneath without being heavy. I’m planning on adding a pretty necklace and red lipstick and I’ll be set. And only $27!
Sequins! And for less than $35!! I love this Sequin Shift Party Dress. I see it with bright red lips and black pointy pumps. Super simple, but what a statement! It also comes in silver and black.
What are you wearing to holiday events this season?
