Friday Favorites: Local Gems

TGIF, friends!  Is anyone else really feeling this Friday today??  I feel like I’m crawling toward the finish line after a busy week.

Today for my Friday Favorites, I’m spotlighting a few of my favorite local small business establishments!  Being a small business owner myself, I know the importance of shopping small and supporting our local establishments and in turn, our local economy.  So whenever we can, we visit these favorites that I know you’ll just love!

Revolutionaries Market & Coffee Camper Co.
Monroe, GA

My favorite coffee shop and favorite gift shop combined in one place!!  Revolutionaries Market is FULL of amazing jewelry, home decor, pottery, signs, furniture, and more, all handmade by local artisans and makers.  Right up this girl’s alley!  Add in comfy seating, charging stations, communal tables, AND A COFFEE BAR, and welp, I can hardly ever find a reason to leave.  {{You must try the Honey Lavender Latte- I am not a big sweet coffee person, but it tastes just like the old Bit-o-Honey candy!  So good!}}

Like Pho
Grayson, GA

We have been huge pho fans since we lived in Atlanta and were nervous when we moved out to the burbs a whopping seven years ago, that we wouldn’t be able to find good pho.  Boy were we wrong!  Like pho is always right on point, and the kids are big fans too!  We order egg rolls and two orders of the spicy edamame for the kids and we never have leftovers!  So if you’re a Vietnamese fan, Like Pho is an awesome place. {{Order the pho #5 and spicy edamame!}}

Bread & Butter Bakery
Covington, GA

We have just started driving a bit further out of town for a change of pace, to the charming and adorable Downtown Covington.  They have a beautiful town square, and several great restaurants and shops, AND the Bread & Butter Bakery!  I’ve met customers here a few times (and was just there yesterday!), and like Revolutionaries, they have lots of comfortable seating, perfect for folks meeting or working away from the office, and they have a great selection of snacks and a la carte lunches you can grab for a quick and tasty bite.  It’s bright and cheerful, and the staff is really nice.  And how cool is that antique kitchen utensil wreath??!!  {{I recommend the Roasted Tomato and Goat Cheese Soup– it is incredible!! }}

The Story Shop
Monroe, GA

Our favorite place to take the kids, my favorite place to host family (and business!) events, and just one of the most magical and inspirational places I have ever visited.  I’ve mentioned The Story Shop several times on the blog, but how could I leave them out of my favorites?  The day before school started back we attended the Harry Potter Party there, and it was amazing.  They thought of everything. And that’s just the thing.  Down to the last detail, they think of everything and make books and reading so exciting and so fun for kids and adults alike.  {{Stop by for story time, and walk through the wardrobe into Narnia to get to into the reading room!}}

I would love to know some of your favorite local gems!  What am I missing?  Where should I go next??

I hope you have a wonderful weekend and I’ll see you on Monday!
