What I Wore

Dare I say it… but has spring finally sprung??  This spring has seemed unusually unpredictable, but every year the weather isn’t consistently warm until mid-May.  But at least that means we’re getting close!  And just give me a couple of 85 degree days in a row, and I’ll be whining about how hot it is! #neversatisfied

I am so happy to finally be getting out the dresses and sandals, though!  Here’s a look at a few things I’ve been wearing lately…

Longsleeve, roomy boho dresses are totally my jam this spring.  Dress up with wedges, or down with flats.  And these rose gold sandals go with ev-er-y-thing in my closet.  They’ll be on repeat all summer.

Gray Tassel Embroidered Dress- Jane
Cream Tassel Earrings- Humble Pie
Rose Gold Flat Sandals- Macy’s (on sale!)

I don’t wear a lot of maxi dresses anymore, and I really don’t know why!  They are comfortable and shaving is optional, ha!  I like the criss-cross detail at the top of this black floral one and it’s in the softest knit that feels like pajamas.

Black Floral Criss Cross Maxi- Ruby Chandelier Boutique

One of my favorite new dresses for the springtime.  I found this plum knit and lace dress in a local boutique, and have worn it three times already.  The lace is so pretty and the sleeves and empire waistline are really flattering.  And I have been needing some new nude pumps for a LONG time.  These are the perfect color with just a high enough heel that I can wear them with practically anything!

Plum Lace and Knit Dress- L’Madame Boutique
Nude D’Orsay Pumps- Old Navy (on sale!)

Are you noticing a trend here?  I cannot get enough spring dresses this season.  Especially lightweight, feminine prints, and dresses with sleeves!  Add a pair of sandals and you’re ready to go.  Dresses are the ultimate outfit for busy ladies!

Blue and Black Floral Swing Dress- H&M
Black Bow Slides- WalMart (only $7!)

Saturday was a beautiful day, and we were outside a good bit watching Bennett play soccer.  I was a bit hesitant, though, of going full-on sleeveless and blinding the entire soccer field with my paleness, so I added on my old school jean jacket that might be the oldest garment I own!

Jean Jacket- Gap (via Goodwill!)
Yellow Striped Dress- Old Navy
Orange Floral Keds Slip-On Sneakers- Rifle Paper Co

Ruffles + embroidery = Amanda’s favorite dress combination!  The red floral embroidery on this dress is so beautiful that I’ve worn this one about three times already this Spring too!

Red Floral Embroidered Dress- Lollipop Boutique
Red Tassel Earrings- Made by Me!
Gold Platforms- Target

I’ll be liking up with Lindsey over at the Pleated Poppy for What I Wore.  Take a peep for lots of outfit inspiration and ideas!
