Hello friends! I have a roundup of what I’ve worn over the last week or so to share with you today! This CRAZY GEORGIA SPRING WEATHER is about to drive me bananas, and jumping back and forth between warm and cold weather does not make dressing easy in the mornings! Here’s what I’ve been wearing lately:
So this post could also be titled, “Amanda learns to style her new haircut.” Or even, “vote on your favorite way Amanda should style her hair,” because I am totally still figuring it out! I’ve had it short plenty of times, but never with quite as many layers for the way I want it to look! This was my attempt at flat-ironing it and getting it super straight- won’t be doing this again, ha! I like big hair. 🙂 But I do like this dress! H&M opened just down the road from us a while back and it has taken me a long while to get over there and go shop. WHOA- I am hooked. SO many cute things and such good prices!!!
My new favorite dress. I am totally on board the embroidery trend train, and love this black boho style dress with the pretty embroidery on the yoke and sleeves. It was great with tights for church last week, and will be cute bare legged with sandals once it gets a little warmer!
These cute, colorful sneakers have been on repeat lately. They are so easy to slip on with jeans and a neutral top and I love the color they bring to an otherwise boring outfit! I get comments on them literally everytime I wear them.
Mom Uniform- Tunic, Skinny Jeans, Pretty Flats. I reach for flats, the pointy or the ballet variety, more often than I reach for sneakers when I’m getting dressed. I think they make me feel a bit dressier, or a bit more business appropriate (even though pajamas would also be considered “business appropriate” in my house, ha!) and pulled together. Either way, I love these black d’orsay flats, and though you can’t tell in the picture, they have cute little tassels on the front that make them even a bit more like workwear. They upgrade the whole mom uniform just a smidge.
Another great H&M find! Lightweight dresses are my favorite for springtime, and this green floral one makes me feel all pretty. Also easy for transitioning from winter to spring.
See? I can’t get enough spring dresses! How easy is it, though, to only have to grab one thing out of your closet, and you’re done?! Dresses are not for women that want to look dressy. They’re for women who want to disguise their laziness! LIKE ME!
And lastly, a spring dress of the handmade variety! I have compiled a nice, long (but still doable) list of handmade garments I want to sew up for myself for the springtime. I’ve made a few Farrow Dresses already, but I have been wanting to make a basic, neutral chambray version for so long, and I finally took the time to make it last weekend. And I LOVE it. The pattern is creative and well drafted, and it’s really fun to sew because it ends up looking so, so nice. As usual, I already have a few more in mind. 🙂
