Hello Friends! I’m here to share my first What I Wore post of the year! Hooray! Now, I have a disclaimer… the six outfits I’m about to post are not just from the past week. Over the holidays, if I remembered to photograph my outfit I did, but it was few and far between, here and there. But I figured I’d show what I’ve got this week and then attempt to post on a more regular basis going forward. So here’s what I have to share this week!
I mean, I know it’s winter and all. And it’s supposed to be cold. But we’re not used to extended stretches of temps in the low 40s, right? I don’t mind cold weather, but this is really cold for Georgia!! So layering is key for me, since Georgia winters do not necessitate a plethora of sweaters in my wardrobe!
I worked behind the Lancome counter, way back all four years of college at Von Maur in Lincoln, Nebraska. I had to wear black all the time while I was working (which was A LOT), and it made getting ready for work SO EASY! So now, anytime that I really am just at a loss on what to wear, I go all black. You really can’t mess it up.
Short skirts and statement sleeves are for celebrations, right? I wore this way back at the beginning of December for our Magnolia Marketing Group Christmas Party, celebrating the BIG 2017 that we had. But 2018, we have even BIGGER things in store for you!
I wore this back in December, but I just wore it again this past week! I love the statement sleeve trend, and embroidery is forever a favorite of mine. Who would have thought, though, that I only paid $11 for this sweater?!
I am not at all an edgy person- but that’s kind of why I like this leather(ish) jacket- it kind of bucks my traditional MO! I wore it with a simple black and white striped swing dress and black boots with my curled hair and red lipstick, and still felt powerful and girly, all at the same time.
And finally a recent outfit! I wore this on Monday night for my ShowMe50 Lean In Circle, and have decided that I am obsessed with wearing blazers. Throw on a random sweater/shirt and pants, but you top it with a blazer and automatically feel put together. This camel blazer has been and will be in rotation on the regular from now on!
I’ll be linking up with Lindsey at The Pleated Poppy and her What I Wore Linkup. Check it out for some great ideas and outfit inspiration!
