Hello Friends! I cannot BELIEVE that Christmas is now less than one week away! Are you ready? Are you done with your shopping? Are you ready to just sit back and enjoy the holiday cheer this week? If your answers are no, no, and no, then I’m right there with you!! I have a SUPER CRAZY week this week (just like last week- hello, only one post), we have three school parties this week, and we’re finishing up teacher gifts, stockings, and a few last-minute gifts too. I think by Friday afternoon, I ought to be able to kick back and enjoy it a bit, ha!
This past weekend, we did family Christmas part 2 this weekend up in Blue Ridge, celebrating with my family! We had a great time riding the Blue Ridge Scenic Railroad, eating, drinking, and just hanging out, and here’s a recap in pictures…
We all had a great time and are now ready for a great rest of our Christmas here at home!
We got home from Blue Ridge Sunday afternoon, and we just ordered pizza for dinner since I had to rush off to church for our Christmas Cantata for choir! But I’m planning out our meals through Christmas so that I will hopefully only have to pop in the store this week for a few goodies and wine (of course), and have all our meals taken care of! So here’s what we’ll be eating now through Christmas…
Monday- Tilapia Taco Bowl with black beans, corn, rice, salsa, cilantro, and avocado
Tuesday- Out for pizza with our small group!
Wednesday- Rolled Tacos (made these last week and they’re SO GOOD!) with Southwestern Salad
Thursday- Potato, Corn, and Jalapeno Soup
Friday- Asian Garlic Tofu, Broccoli, and Rice
Saturday- Mushroom Bourguignon, Rice, and Green Beans
Sunday (Christmas Eve)- Lasagna and Garlic Bread (our family tradition for the last 5 years!)
Monday (Christmas Day)- Vegetable Soup with Biscuits (again, our family tradition for the last 5 years! We make a big batch and eat on it all throughout the day, as we play with new toys and stay in our jammies all day!)
