First of all, let me thank each and every one of you who commented, messaged, or replied to my What I Wore post a few weeks ago. I typically keep things pretty light around here, but I felt the need to share a bit of my heart, and was met with so much love and support. So, THANK YOU. I read every word, and they meant more to me than you’ll ever know!
So, onto the outfits! I subbed in Halloween photos for my normal WIW post last week, and have an entire two weeks-worth of outfits to share today!
We’ve had a grand total of, like, 3 days this fall that have been worthy of wearing a sweater. Boo, Mother Nature! I’m ready for snuggly, cold weather! And as much as I love colorful clothes in the summertime, I wear a lot of neutrals in the fall and winter. This black and cream striped cardigan will be in major rotation.
I wore this a few weeks ago when I went to a workshop and wanted to look professional but still comfortable. I hit up TJ Maxx for some new black pants since the only ones I I have are on their last leg. I haven’t had much of a need for a lot of dress pants in the past 6 years! But TJ Maxx had exactly what I was looking for, and I’ll probably be back for a few more pairs. Can’t beat $16.99!!
I wore this on the second cold day we’ve had this fall, ha. We were supposed to be outside for Brantley’s softball party, but it was actually really cold- like 42 and windy. Thank goodness it was moved inside, but I still didn’t take my coat off!
I don’t wear a lot of printed leggings, but I couldn’t resist these cute ones for Halloween!! I (along with every other suburban mom across the country) wore them for pumpkin carving with Ben at school, and our other fun festive activities. 🙂
I have had THE BEST luck at TJ Maxx lately! I have found great tops this season, like dark green knit blouse with smocked neck and wrists. I think it will be pretty with a scarf or red earrings for a casual holiday get together!
Another great TJ Maxx find!! I wore this plaid flannel blouse last week, and am obsessed with the pretty bell sleeves! I think it’ll be perfect for Thanksgiving with the fall colors.
I am such a sucker for striped embroidered tops this season (and you’ll see more below!). They combine two of my favorite style elements and add such fun interest to an outfit. Plus, the top is busy enough that just a pair of fun earrings and no other accessories are really needed! LOVE this one from Zaful. It was a bit short for me- so I added a peplum tank underneath to add a bit more length.
This is what I WAS going to wear to the Clemson Game…
…but this is what I would up wearing! I needed something warmer and far more functional for the chilly, rainy game, and this turtleneck sweater fit the bill. Not bright Clemson orange, but orange enough!
This is what I wore on our first day of the Business Boutique in Nashville! I wanted comfort, but also creativity and professional. I LOVE this blouse with the stripes and the collar, and the peplum, and the embroidery, and the ruffle sleeves…seems like a lot of elements all in one top, but I love it.
Nashville Day 2- again, I wanted to be comfortable, but also change out of the jeans I’d been wearing 2 weeks straight, ha! I’ll probably wear this dress once a week all fall and winter, I love it so much. Easy to dress up or down, and super versatile.
Again- going for style and comfort on our last day in Nashville. This blouse is a homerun- I feel very comfortable in it with jeans, or you can wear it with trousers and a blazer– it just seems to suit every occasion.
I love a good floral print, and midi dresses are pretty much my favorite now. I wore this to church on Sunday, when the temps went back up into the 70’s (insert eye roll emoji). Annoying. But I do love this dress.
I found this camel drape vest when I was shopping with my mom a few weeks ago, and knew it would be a great, versatile piece for the fall and winter. Not too heavy, but an extra layer of warmth, plus it’s easy to dress up or down. I wore it to a meeting on Monday with a simple black tunic and black pants, and it was a perfect weight. I think it will be really cute with a button up, a plaid scarf, and jeans too, for a more casual look.
It didn’t feel like fall yesterday (78 degrees!! NOT COOL- no pun intended, ha), but I refuse to go back to short sleeves!! I love the pretty florals and fall colors in this blouse. Another top perfect for Thanksgiving!
Last but not least! An almost exclusively TJ Maxx outfit! All except my brushed gold WalMart earrings, haha! I Love the delicate ruffled sleeves on this lightweight knit sweater, and though you can’t see in this photo, the back dips to just above my bra strap. It feels really pretty and romantic- even with the same jeans that I’ve been wearing all week!
Whew! And that’s it for this week! I’ll be linking up with Lindsey at the Pleated Poppy, and you should pop over and check out all the great inspiration and outfit ideas those talented gals have to share!
