So I was thinking that maybe I should attempt What I Wore posts only once a month rather than once a week. I just can’t seem to get it together to write them every week! Maybe twice a month? I’m not sure what the answer is, but I’ve got some outfits to show you this week!
The perfect fall transition dress. It’s cute with sandals, clogs, and boots alike! I love the seersucker stripes, the embroidered detail at the neckline, and especially the dramatic sleeves. And it was under $35!
I always struggle at the last minute putting together outfits for our family pictures. But this year, I had a really good idea of the colors I wanted us to all wear, and pretty easily put the kids outfits together (Scott pretty much always wears the same thing- either his camel blazer, gray pullover, or white button up!). But as always, I had no idea what I was going to wear!! I knew we were going to do very neutral colors, and though this dress isn’t gray and cream like I was imagining for everyone else, it is such an earthy floral, in a soft sage green, gray, cream, and dusty rose, that it ended up bringing all the other outfits together! We’ll really see how it all looks together when we get to see all our pics tomorrow!!
I have worn this shirt over and over in the past few weeks and get compliments on it every. single. time. I wear it. And I almost always blurt out, “I got it at WALMART!” And every time, the other person is SHOCKED! It really is the perfect fit, a pretty print, just the right length, and lightweight so that it will be easy to layer without getting too warm when the cool weather finally becomes consistent. I paired it with my favorite new distressed jeans, and favorite perforated booties that have also been on repeat.
I wore this to the Farmer’s Market and Fall Festival last weekend, when it was overcast and cloudy- cool enough to be a jeans kind of morning, but definitely a short-sleeve kind of afternoon! I LOVE the ruffle trend ont-shirtss and sweatshirts this fall.
I am a dress kinda girl most all the time, but especially when it comes to church. This past Sunday, I still wanted to wear a dress, but I wanted to be comfortable. I have knit swing dresses in just about every color but the red spoke to me! I added my leopard wedges and a simple picture locket, and was comfortable and church ready!
One of my favorite fall momiforms is a relaxed tunic, jeans, and booties, but I might have to switch the booties out from time to time with mules!! Easy to slip on and off, and so cute. These are gray velvet (not as light as they look in the photo- just the direction the velvet pile was brushed) and since I am gray obsessed, they go with everything.
And last but not least! I spoke about this jacket here in my Fall Must-Haves. It came in the mail from Rosegal the other day, and I am in LOVE!!!! It’s obviously not real leather, but it’s lightweight and easy to dress up or down. I wore in on Monday night to a work event over a simple black dress, and I liked that it was a bit of an edgier way to bring the outfit together instead of just a classic blazer. I’ll be wearing it with dresses and pants this fall.
I will be linking up with Lindsay from The Pleated Poppy for What I Wore Wednesday! Pop over and check out all the great style ideas and outfit inspiration!
