I have outfits today! And it’s actually a Wednesday! I’m sharing a few things that I’ve been wearing this week and the week before Disney. I always struggle with this time of year– I am SO OVER summer clothes (and temps), but it’s not cool enough in Georgia yet to go full-fledged jeans and sweaters. But dresses and lightweight cardigans and booties help make the transition easier. So, onto the outfits!
Tomorrow I’m posting about 5 summer trends that I am wearing into fall, and surprise! One of those is pictured here! I just cannot give up tassels, not yet at least. And when I saw this dress, and the tassel hem, I knew it was meant to be.
I love that yellow can be such a great transitional color from summer to fall. Wear with sandals? Summer. Add booties and a cardigan? Fall. And I have certainly got good wear out of these sandals!
This neutral dress will be another great transitional fall piece. Cute now with sandals, but good later with booties and a cardigan or leggings and over the knee boots. I tend to dress in more grays, blacks, and browns during the fall and winter anyway, so it’ll be very versatile.
Gray Ruffle Dress- Live, Laugh, and Love Boutique (sadly now out of business!)
Gray Beaded Necklace- Boutique in St. Augustine
Cream Fringe Earrings- Humble Pie in Blue Ridge, GA
Nude Criss Cross Block Heels- Target
I’ve done a few pattern tests in the past few weeks, and this cardigan is a result of one!! I made this cocoon-style Libra Cardigan from See Kate Sew, and I’ve already made two more! It’s another great transitional piece for fall, and can be made in a wide variety of knit fabrics. This coral sweater knit that I made this cardigan out of is very lightweight and partially sheer, which is great for the warm weather we’re still having now! I’ve got three other knits waiting on my sewing table to make into more Libras to wear all winter long!
I wore this striped dress from Rosegal a few weeks ago with colorful summer accessories, but this week, I accessorized with more neutrals, again, for more of a fall vibe. I love a piece that you can change up with accessories to fit the mood of the season.
