Since I didn’t post my WIW last Wednesday, I have a whole slew of outfits to share today! And no doubt, the best part is that since I’m sharing some outfits from my weekend away, Bammy is going to make her What I Wore debut!!! So scroll through last week’s outfits and get to the good stuff if you’re so inclined. 🙂 Here’s what I wore the last two weeks:
I cannot resist a white cotton top or dress for the spring and summer! I love the eyelet side paneling on this one.
The Ayda Dress (that I pattern tested here) is one of my favorite makes this spring! I got so many compliments on it the day I wore it, and has inspired me to make another one. But three cheers for wearable muslins!
I got some great deals on really cute sleeveless tops at TJ Maxx a few weeks back. I love them with a cardigan and jeans for spring days, and then also by themselves with shorts when it’s just too hot! I wore this one with jeans the other day, but think it’ll be so cute with white or red shorts for Memorial Day and the Fourth of July.
One of my favorite dresses for the past few summers. The embroidery trim is still going strong and I love the chambray too.
Speaking of the embroidery trend, I’m obsessed! I wore this pretty dress for Mother’s Day and I love the floral embroidery down the front and around the collar on the back. It’s a little too short, so I made a ruffled skirt extender to lengthen it, and I still love the look of it. Good thing about it being a bit too short, though, is that I can add the extender and wear it as a dress, and wear it over jeans as a tunic too!
I made this Pineapple Print Ruby Dress a few years back, and still LOVE it! Perfect for summertime.
Honestly, I don’t even remember where I got this black faux wrap dress, or how long I’ve had it, or how many times I’ve worn it, but I’m fairly certain it’s been worth it! I can dress it up or down, wear heels or flats, and it looks nice each time. I wore this for a work function, and it was comfortable and didn’t look too shabby.

I am in love with the Tammy’s Tulip Shorts that I tested a few weeks back. In fact, I’ve made 5 pairs now! With plans of making several more. But I knew I wanted a seersucker pair, and I had a yard of this aqua, and knew it would be perfect! Pair them with one of my off the shoulder makes, and I thought it made for a pretty cute outfit.
More cute sleeveless tops from TJ Maxx and more cute Tulip Shorts! I wore this to the girls’ Field Day last week, while it was 100 degrees outside, and it wasn’t so bad. I can see wearing this combo all summer long.
Then I wore this to Ben’s water day, which was also 10000000 degrees and outside, haha! The coral cold shoulder dress is cute on it’s own, but I wear a gray swing dress underneath it to add juuuuuuust a bit of length, and also to smooth all the lumps and bumps underneath!
Now to the good stuff, haha!! Mom and I hit the road on Friday, and she had on the cutest embroidered chambray tunic with white jeggings. I wore a Ruby top that I made out of a dress I never wore (that had been hanging in my closet for a few years), and a pair of cute coral Tulip Shorts with white pom poms. Good clothes for traveling, and then for shopping!

Not really outfits we wore, but we had great luck shopping for pretty dresses at Chico’s (have to admit, Mom’s dress was out favorite)!! We picked these up for fun summer get togethers. 🙂
Our first dinner out in Hilton Head. I bought this dress a few months ago just for my birthday! I love the lace, the cold shoulder, the bell sleeves, and same goes for mom’s top!
Saturday morning we headed out to breakfast before the beach, and though our swimsuits and coverups would’ve been totally appropriate, based on what everyone else was wearing, we wore dresses!

I mean, is my mom the cutest thing ever or what??!! We even walked into the restaurant Saturday night, and the little 20-something hostess went bananas over her cute outfit! My love of clothes and fashion comes straight from her. Dressing up is fun because I learned from the best!
And Sunday, this is what we wore to breakfast and on our way home. And I’m pretty sure I’m going to be buying my mom’s dress, because it was so cute and looked so comfortable. Perfect to throw on during the summer!
And back to reality! Coming back from the beach is always such an adjustment, right? But I settled in Monday and was pretty much back to normal by Tuesday. And I didn’t mind the rain since at least it didn’t rain at the beach!
And that’s it! I will be linking up as always over at The Pleated Poppy. Hop on over and check out all the gresat outfit ideas and inspiration. And give my mom a round of applause for her WIW debut!! 🙂
