I know some of you will be sad today that Bammy won’t be joining me for WIW today! Thanks for all the sweet comments last week- my mom is so awesome. I get my love of clothes and fashion from her, and even more fun is when we get to shop and share our passion together! And I told her that she has to start making a regular appearance here!! So, as boring as it may be without Bammy, here’s what I wore this past week…
I spoke about my love for the LulaRoe Carly dress way back here, and what I like the most about it is the versatility!! If you’ve read my WIW posts for long enough, you’ll know that I value versatility in so many of my clothing purchases. I like to be able to dress pieces up or down and wear them in different ways to make unique looks to stretch the life of a garment. The Carly dress is a KEY versatile piece in my closet! I love this indigo tie-dyed Carly, and instead of wearing it plain with a layer over it, I wanted to highlight the pattern by knotting it for a totally different look. I actually pulled a fistful of the fabric on the underside of the dress, right under my chestbone, tied it with a ponytail holder to create the gathered look shown, and it gives the Carly a different look, like a completely different dress! THat’s the kind of versatility I like!
I made this simple shift a few years back and it’s still one of my favorite dresses to throw on every summer. It’s perfect for errands, or for a swim suit coverup, or dressier with wedges and a clutch for a night out.
I wore this pretty floral tee (a birthday gift!) with my handmade denim skirt to the Farmer’s Market last weekend, and got so many unexpected compliments! I’ll take ’em, though, haha!
My kids are all about their favorite colors right now, and I wore my favorite to church on Sunday!
For Memorial Day, we were all decked out in red, white, and blue! This old standby was perfect with a red tassel necklace and espadrilles for the parade.
I’ll be linking up with The Pleated Poppy like always, so pop over for more ideas and outfit inspiration!
