Dresses are my jam for the spring and summertime, and there are so many cute ones out this season! From a long sleeve mermaid dress when it is still a little chilly, to an embroidered peasant style, to even a lightweight denim maxi dress for a weekend trip! I like short dresses just fine, but love that we’re seeing more of these midi and maxi lengths again this spring and summer too.
So you know I love a good list and have made a wishlist of my favorite dresses for this season. Most are under $40, and all are under $50! See what you think and if your favorite trends align with mine!
How cute is this denim cold shoulder maxi dress? I think with a good tan and some pretty earrings, this dress would be so cute for a summer date night.
Love the peasant style, love the length, love the embroidery. What’s NOT to love?! This navy tiered dress would be gorgeous with lace-up block heeled sandals (like my beloved pair) or just a simple pair of two-strap flats!
It’s no secret that I love the off the shoulder trend, but how cute is this one shoulder ruffle dress! And bonus- it’s in my favorite color!
I am obsessed with embroidery this season and LOVE this striped mini dress with embroidery! I can just see it with a pair of cute nude wedges and a straw bag.
I am in the market for some summer-appropriate business dresses. I don’t like to stick to a super traditional, professional style- I like to express my creativity through my outfits! And I love the artistic print on this short sleeve floral print dress and also like the conservative shift style.
My birthday is coming up next month, and then my anniversary in August– so a couple of opportunities to dress up in a pretty, feminine floral off the shoulder dress! This one would be so perfect with some delicate gold jewelry, nude wedges, and beachy curls.
I live in tunic dresses and this blue tie-dyed dress is perfect! I love the lace-up detail and it looks breezy and lightweight, even with the long sleeves.
Simple shift dresses make getting dressed so easy. Throw it on with a pair of sandals and you are ready to head out the door. Which is pretty much all the effort I want to put into dressing when it’s hot outside! Love this floral print shift dress. I have a few other dresses from Old Navy in this same style, and they are so cute, but also forgiving and comfortable!
I cannot resist a striped dress. I have, what you might call, a small collection of them in my closet, but like I said, I can’t resist! Add some cute red sandals or espadrilles to this adorable tie-waist striped dress, and I will be ready for any and every summer occasion.
And lastly, the COLOR, the EMBROIDERY, the SILHOUETTE, I am in love with this stunner. A good tan and some red lipstick and I’m done! This gorgeous embroidered smocked dress is probably at the top of my wishlist.
So there you have it! Some of my favorite spring and summer dresses, all so cute, and definitely affordable!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend- three cheers for Friday, right?! We had soccer last night, we have baseball tonight, and we have both soccer AND baseball all day tomorrow! Oh, and Scott is leaving town for a conference this afternoon, so I’m managing all this craziness myself. I need some coffee, some wine, and my super-mom cape, and I *think* I can handle it! I hope you have a fabulous, restful (or super active!) weekend and are able to enjoy the beautiful weather. Happy Friday!
