What I Wore (Plus Diane Von Furstenberg for $6)

Hi Friends!  I am back today with my outfits for the past week for WIWW, and am linking up with Lindsay from The Pleated Poppy for her awesome and inspirational weekly posts!  So here’s what I wore this past week:

I love the cold shoulder trend, and really wanted to find a cold shoulder sweater while it was chilly out.  I think I’ve mentioned that I have the BEST TJ Maxx right here in town, and found this cold shoulder sweater a while back for $13!!!  It’s super soft, and since our winter here in Georgia was SUPER mild this year, it was perfect.

Leopard Bow Pointed Bow Flats- Amazon

I am also a big fan of the feminine peplum trend.  I love that you can dress it up or down, and in this case, it was ultra-casual!

I say that our winter this year has been mild, but that is not to say that we haven’t had some days that necessitated a sweater!  I wore this on our one chilly day last week.  I was in shorts in the front yard the next morning. :/

Y’all.  The BEST thrifting find I have come across in a LONG TIME (hence the subtitle).  Let me set it up.  I went by my local Goodwill the other day.  I was actually just looking for fabric, or garments that I could refashion into something cute, so I was thumbing through the dresses.  Next thing I know, I see the dress above and then see the tag- and it is a silk tunic dress from Diane Von Furstenberg!  If you’re not familiar with the brand, her silk dresses can run between $400-700!!!  And I got it for the bargain price of SIX DOLLARS IN MY SIZE at my local Goodwill.  WHAT!!!!!?????  It fit perfectly and I love it.  I wore it to church on Sunday and then to my grandmother’s birthday party afterwards.  And I will now be frequenting my local Goodwill on a weekly basis, haha!  Seriously though, what a find.
