Hi friends! I’m sharing my outfits for my weekly What I Wore post. I love how Lindsey of The Pleated Poppy puts it, “i started this [link-up] originally as motivation to get out of my daily uniform of jammies or sweats, but now i am encouraged and held accountable to put a few extra minutes aside for myself and try new things.” I love this philosophy, and I know I always feel better when I put a few extra minutes into getting dressed every day (check that- most days :)). So here’s what I wore this past week:
I wear dresses because they make me feel pretty. I also wear dresses because I am lazy. Why try to match 2-3 different pieces to make an outfit when you can grab one and look perfectly put together?! I love simple, loose-fitting dresses for the spring and summer because they are effortless. And you still look like you tried (and usually tried more than you actually did :)).
Ballfield attire! Friday night was so nice out (and my Hooks baseball t-shirt was still in the dirty clothes pile), so I wore a simple t-shirt dress and cardigan and was perfectly comfortable. If these springtime temps could hang around for a while, I would not be disappointed!
Another day at the ball field, but this time, the soccer ball field! Brantley and Grayson had 9:00 and 10:00 games, but we had to be there at 8:30 for pictures :/. It was still a little chilly first thing in the morning, so jeans and a tee and my trusty camo jacket were perfect.
Church on Sunday. I also like wearing dresses to church- again it takes the work out of getting myself ready on Sunday mornings… especially since it takes a LOT of work to get everyone else ready, haha!
The second easiest outfit is my go-to tunic and jeans combo. I mentioned a couple weeks ago that I was gifted with a big bag of beautiful barely-worn clothes, and this top was in the bag! Jackpot! I usually don’t like beige on me (washes me out), but I think this one is neutral enough that it’s not so bad.
And last but not least, another easy, neutral look! I must have 100 gray t-shirts, but this one is my favorite. A good tunic length without being too long, and lightweight, so it’s not too hot when it hits 76 degrees!
And that’s it for this week! I’ll be linking up over at The Pleated Poppy as always. Pop over for plenty of ideas and outfit inspiration!
