Thank you so much for everyone who reached out with such sweet comments about my post last week! Sometimes I feel a little ridiculous with these WIW posts, until I hear from my friends and family (and some people I don’t even know!) with such wonderful support. So THANK YOU! And on with some of my outfits from last week!
Tunic + Jeans + Booties = My favorite mom uniform lately! It’s easy and casual, and pulled together with a long pendant and sunnies functioning as a headband (not really on purpose- I just forget they’re on my head, haha).
Skinny Jeans- Target
Nude Perforated Booties- TJ Maxx
Photo Pendant- Gift
I made this dress in the fall, and it has become one of my favorite garments that I have made. The pattern is the simple but lovely Pearl Shift Dress pattern from Green Bee Patterns, and I get compliments on it every time I wear it (always a good feeling!). Pearl Shifts are a cinch to make since they don’t need any zippers, buttons, or closures (you can add a zipper, but it’s not completely necessary, for me at least), and the pattern also comes with several different options for gussy-ing it up a bit. And I had this dress in mind specifically when I got my beloved Over the Knee boots! Such a 70’s vibe, right?

I have also started sewing a bit for spring, and I made this light pink Boho Ruffle Top (free pattern!) from See Kate Sew. It’s the same pattern as I showed last week in the plaid Boho Ruffle Top, but this time I just left off the ruffle across the chest since I just wanted a peplum-style top, plus my fabric was a little more stiff, and I didn’t think the ruffle would drape as well. I am in LOVE with the result! I love a roomy peplum style top, and I can’t wait to make more of these (seersucker!!!), and especially a short sleeve version too.

And last outfit for today! I made this dress (lots of me-made this week!) before Christmas, and haven’t worn it much since! I wore it for our family Christmas photos and to church on Christmas Eve, and then pulled it out on Monday for a work event. I forgot how much I LOVE THIS DRESS. The fabric alone (Rife Paper Co Les Fleurs by Cotton and Steel) is so gorgeous, but the Farrow Dress Pattern by Grainline Studio is another pattern from which I could make a million dresses. I’m planning some more Farrows for the springtime too. 🙂
