What I Wore Wednesday

Hi Friends!  An oldie but a goodie, I decided to write a new WIWW post!!  I know each time that I have written one of these posts in the past several months or so I say that I’m going to try to keep up with them and continue posting on a weekly basis, and then I never do.  So I’m not going to make one of those promises today, haha, but I hope I can keep up with them!  I go love to go back and look at older WIWW posts and see what works, what doesn’t, how I like my hair best, and what items I need to just give away.  All that being said, here’s what I have been wearing!

I got this maxi from one of those daily deal sites (jane.com, I think??), and it has continued to be one of my favorite dresses.  Every time I wear this dress, I get compliments.  It’s a flattering fit, and even though I think chevron is past it’s prime, I still like the tribal-ness of the print.

I am a sucker for stripes, and am pretty sure I own more striped shirts and sweaters than any one person should.  But this ivory and black sweater is one of my favorites.

Tunics have been my favorite tops to wear this winter, for lots of different reasons, but one is that they are great for layering!  Anyone that deals with a Georgia winter knows that it can be 45 degrees in the morning, and 65 in the afternoon (or vice-versa, as was the case last week)!  This outfit was layering at it’s finest, and when I went out to take and pick the kids up from school, I added my overcoat too, and was perfectly warm.

I made this cardigan at the beginning of the fall, and I just wore it for the first time last week to church!  The Laurelhurst Cardigan is such a great and easy pattern, and perfect for someone who wants a simple pattern when starting out with knits.  I have made 4 or 5 of these, and actually need to make some more!
