As of yesterday, we are on FALL BREAK! Since we started school clear back in the middle of the summer, we have been needing a little break to recharge, and I love that our school system takes a lovely break right before things amp up for the holidays. So we started our fall break fun on Saturday, and took the kids to our local theater (where we saw Memphis the Musical a few months ago), and attended one of their Kids Theater Workshop performances!
For just $7 a ticket, it was such a fun experience, and one that we’ll for sure have to repeat! We saw a kids version of Shakespeare’s Macbeth, and it was great! It was silly and interactive, and the kids (and Scott and I!) loved it. IF you live in the area, you should definitely check it out. Take a look at the Aurora’s Children’s Playhouse here!
We relaxed for the rest of the day, and on Saturday night we went to a little costume party for my friend’s birthday! Scott and I were lame and didn’t dress up, but I dressed the kids up in stuff we already had on hand…
…as Clemson cheerleaders and a Clemson football player! We had a lot of fun and made it home in time to watch most of the game in our jammies. We relaxed all day on Sunday, and got the week started off on Monday with Ben’s three-year-old well check. Our big boy is in the 85th percentile in both height and weight and is growing just like he is supposed to!
We have some other fun things planned for the rest of the week, including a pumpkin patch trip and apple picking! We will get plenty of relaxation in on this wonderful fall break, with a little bit of fun in there too. 🙂
Which reminds me, I have been meaning to share our Fall Bucket List with you on here! It’s not nearly as long or in depth as our summer list, but with fall being my favorite season, the items on our Fall Bucket List are truly some of my very favorite thing to do all year long. Some of the things on our list:
Trip to the Zoo (completed on Ben’s birthday!)
Visit the Pumpkin Patch
Go Trick or Treating
Pumpkin Spice Lattes (DONE!)
Go on a Hayride
Cook Thanksgiving Dinner
Make Ghost Brownies
Make a Thankful Tree
Watch Football (done!)
Go Apple Picking
Drink Hot Apple Cider
Make Caramel Apples
Go Through a Corn Maze
Have an Oyster Roast
Have a Fire
Jump in Leaves
Have a Fall Picnic
So those are the fun things we’ll be doing between now and Thanksgiving! What about you?? What’s on your fall bucket list? Crossed anything off yet? Well, we are off to enjoy the rest of our beloved Fall Break! Happy Fall, Y’all!
