Another week, another round of viruses, and at least we’re back to the weekend! Gracie and Ben both ran fevers this week, so evidently the bugs have still not worked their way through everyone. PRAYING that this is IT and that no one else gets sick! For, like, the third time!!! Here’s five things from our week…

Girl’s Room Redo
Thanks to my dear Bible Study friends and their MAD painting skills, the girls have a bright, newly painted blue room! I had been wanting to get their room painted for so long, and it’s finally complete! Now to hang things on the walls, change up their bedding a little, add some cute pillows and accessories, and finish decorating their cute shared sister bedroom! Here’s to hoping it doesn’t take a YEAR… 🙂 But painting was a HUGE first step, so we’re moving in the right direction!!
Fall Handmade Closet
I added two new shirts to my fall handmade closet wardrobe this week! The Voila Blouse in navy gingham is a pattern I have had for quite a while, and makes a really cute and roomy top. It’s easy to wear alone with jeans, or like I wore it this week, layered up with a raincoat, since it’s been raining for a WEEK STRAIGHT NOW. And a new (to me) pattern, the Lane Raglan! This was my first attempt at a knit shirt, and it was very simple!! It was a quick and easy sew, doesn’t take a lot of fabric, and I’m excited to make more! I definitely have room for improvement, but will get good practice making more of them! Next week, I am planning on adding another shirt (maybe two!) and a jacket that I am SO excited about sewing up!
Three Ingredient Coffee Ice Cream
I saw this recipe for three-ingredient coffee ice cream on Facebook the other day, and knew I had to try it. No churning, no need for an ice cream maker, it’s super easy, and actually comes out DELICIOUS!!!! All you need is instant coffee, sweetened condensed milk, and whipping cream. Watch the video for the directions, but TRUST ME it is super easy and so, so good. It made about two pints worth and I will be indulging in it some more tonight!
Hotel Transylvania Two
Since it’s supposed to rain all weekend, as it has ALLLLLLL this past week (Thanks Hurricane Joaquin), we are going to take the kids to see a movie tomorrow. We’re thinking Hotel Transylvania Two will be pretty fun, though we haven’t seen the first one! Maybe it’s on demand and we can watch it tonight?! The girls do great at the movies, and we’re hoping since this one is animated, Ben will be more apt to sit through it (he was not so interested in Cinderella when we saw that a few months ago). I’m just pumped to get out of the house and get some popcorn! What are your plans for the weekend?
I hope that no matter what you have planned this weekend, that you stay dry and safe, and have a good one!
