Hello Monday

After a big week last week, here’s what we’re saying hello to on this fresh, new Monday morning!

Hello First Grade!!  Brantley started school last Wednesday, and let’s just say that it has been a huge hit so far!  My biggest girl is not a morning person, but she popped right out of bed on Wednesday and was so excited (oh, if she would only pop out of bed like that every school day for the rest of the year!).  We’re only three days in, but so far so good.  She’s thrilled to be going back again today and I am just pleased as punch that she loves her new class so much.  I think this will be a big year for Miss Brantley!

Hello New Teachers for Ben and Gracie! I was contacted by Grayson and Ben’s new teachers over the weekend that we will be meeting this week!  I am beyond excited that Ben’s teacher is actually one of my dear, dear Bible Study friends, and one of Grayson’s teachers is part of the two-teacher team that she has had the past two years!  So I know that my babies will be in really good hands this school year, when they start on the 25th.

Hello to renewed health! Oh my goodness, I am finally done with my antibiotic and feeling so, so much better after my trifecta of illness.  The bronchitis is still lingering a bit, with a cough and still a bit of chest tightness and pressure, but that is nothing compared to what I was dealing with before!  And day by day it is loosening it’s grip on me, and I am getting back to normal.  HALLELUJAH!

Hello Homemade Granola Bars.  I am so tired of buying sugar and preservative-filled granola bars over and over every week for the kids.  I have been wanting to make my own granola bars for a few months now, and my mom recently told me that she used the Pioneer Woman’s recipe for granola bars, and they were delicious.  So I’m going to give them a go!  I’m thinking that I’ll only have to buy the 4000 ingredients one time for several batches, and then just supplement as I run out of things, so I’m hoping they are good and they are inexpensive.  I’ll let you know how they turn out!

Hello 5th Season of Game of Thrones!  I hope to get through this season this week, and be completely current, but I have been trying to go to bed earlier so I can get up earlier to get everyone ready for school, so it may take a little bit longer.  At least I am almost up to date, but then what am I going to watch?!  When do the fall shows come back on????

That’s about it for me today.  I am hoping for a good start to the new week and the days ahead!  What are you saying hello to today?

I love Game of Thrones too! Totally not my typical genre, but it’s amazing. And so glad you liked True Detective! That first season was incredible. I just finished the second season, and despite a stellar cast, it just wasn’t as good.
