Happy Friday! It seems like as we count down to the end of school, each week is one doozy after another! Scott was gone for a few nights, which wasn’t so bad, but on top of that, I had a horrible case of poison ivy (I KNOW, what??!) that I had to go to the doctor for, it was so unbearable. I was put on a 14 day steriod and I literally went through 2 tubes of hydrocortisone cream to keep me from clawing my skin off. I will spare you from the disgusting pictures, but it was along my collarbone, neck and shoulders, and both forearms and behind my elbows. The only thing I can figure that I got it is from our dog, Dolly. She got out of the house on Friday and went through a little adventure through the woods in our neighborhood, and when I finally caught her and brought her in the house, I carried her in, with her little body against my chest and shoulder. She must’ve ran through it and spread it onto me. As horrible as it was, though, I kept thinking that I just didn’t want to spread it to the kids (which, by the way, the NP told me that once you take a shower after getting/being exposed to poison ivy, it’s very difficult to spread it. Good to know!)! Then the day Scott leaves for traveling and I’m still working through the poison ivy, I come down with this nasty cold (allergies? Who knows) with cough, congestion, and drainage. Super fun to deal with poison ivy, a cold, and three kids on your own! BUT. We made it through, it’s Friday, and the weekend is upon us. Hallelujah!!
SO…after my recap of the week, haha, I’m going to skip my Friday Favorites for the week, and just sign off! I am tired and still itchy, snotty, and dragging, and ready for a bit of a rest! I hope you have a wonderful weekend, and I hope to see you back on Monday, and I hope to be feeling better!
And a special shout out to my nephew Harrison that turns the big O-N-E tomorrow!!! Happy Birthday, sweet Harrison! We love you so much and wish we could be there with you to celebrate, but hope you have a wonderful day! Sending lots of love, hugs, and kisses!
Happy Weekend, Friends! See you Monday!
