Hello Tuesday

Hello Friends!  I am a day behind this week, and I need to be thinking a day ahead!!  We have a busy week ahead of us, with Easter Egg Hunts (3 to be exact!), Easter parties, lots of sewing to be done, grocery shopping and Easter prep to be done (at least the Easter bunny seems to be done with his shopping!), and lots of other to-dos on the good old, never-ending list.  Here’s what we’re saying hello to today:

Hello my poor, cranky two-and-a half year old.  Poor Ben, he has four molars busting through at the same time, and they are giving him a pretty hard time.  I see this face more often than not, and though I know he can’t help it, it is certainly trying my patience.  But we went to the doctor for his 30 month checkup yesterday, and he is one healthy, growing boy.  33 pounds (82nd percentile, and 3 pounds more than Gracie, and  pounds less than Brantley!), and 37 1/2 inches tall (87th percentile).  So for that, I can be thankful!  And once these bastard molars come through, I hope to get my sweet boy back!

Hello 70 degree temps?  I think?  After a few gorgeous spring days last week, we had a crazy cold snap and a blustery day of soccer in 50 degree weather on Saturday (at least it was sunny!). The forecast calls for rain this week, but most every day in the 70s.  I’ll take it.  I’m ready to get some sun on these pasty white legs and free my toes from socks and boots!  After the rain, though, I guess!

Hello Spring Break next week!  It’s in sight!  It’s within reach!!  I love the timing of it this year with Easter being early, so that we get an extra day since we have Good Friday off too!  Scott will be gone for a few days, so we’re planning on taking a short trip to Blue Ridge, and some fun local day trips and activities.  And PLENTY of down-time!  Our early spring has flown by, and we have all gotten caught in the whirlwind!  I think a pajama day or two will do us all a world of good.

Hello Ruffle Bubbles, Jon-Jons, and Sundresses!  I love making summer clothes for children, because they are so sweet, and so much more fun!  People are starting to think ahead (THANK YOU for that!) to beach vacations and family pictures, and birthday parties and weddings, and are ordering such darling outfits from me to make their children.  Thank you for letting me contribute to and be a part of your special days!

Hello patience and grace and understanding and to letting things go!

What are you saying hello to today?
