Friday Favorites

TGIF!  I really can’t complain too much about this week; it wasn’t particularly busy, but isn’t it just a relief to know the weekend is right around the corner anyway?  Today I thought I’d share some more of my favorites as of late, in keeping with my Friday Favorites theme!

Favorite Frozen Yogurt and Toppings:

Yoforia Pomegranate and Pineapple Yogurts with mango, kiwi, blueberries and strawberries

During Bennett’s #onlychildweekend last weekend while the girls were having fun in Aiken, we treated him to a stop at our local frozen Yogurt place for a sweet nightcap. And it’s pretty good (I am certainly not complaining about my snickerdoodles yogurt with heath bar crumbles), but it’s just not as good as our old fave, Yoforia.  When we lived in Brookhaven (it’s been 4 years ago now!), we used to go to Yoforia on a regular basis, and I loved their tart, almost sorbet-like frozen yogurt.  And I’d be good and top it with fruit, not because I was even trying to be healthy, but because it was just that good!  Now, if I could just get our now-local place to get a few more tart flavors and a better fruit topping selection… 🙂

Favorite Place to Shop for Grcoeries:

Trader Joe’s

Oh, my dear Loganville Kroger, I do love you.  But after visiting the Trader Joe’s in Norcross today, I realized that I miss that little grocer SO MUCH!  Again, when we lived in Brookhaven, we used to frequent the Roswell Road Trader Joe’s (sorry if you’re not a metro Atlanta local, and you have no idea about all these places I’m referring to!) weekly to stock up on two buck chuck, their awesome (and totally cheap) cheese selection, among 1000 other things off my grocery list that I couldn’t live without.  I love all of their name brand items, their produce is fantastic, their pre-made dips and salads are delicious, and the people that work there are the absolute best.  So come on Loganville, add a Yoforia and a Trader Joe’s into the construction plans, and you’ll have made this mama very, very happy. 🙂

Favorite Bracelet for the Summertime:

HIPANEMA Brazillian Bracelet

I love this bracelet style- it’s lot of different skinny bracelets: woven, beaded, twisted, etc., connected together to form one big bracelet.  So, only one bracelet to take on and off, with the look of a cool arm party going on.  I can see myself wearing it with a simple tank dress or t shirt and jeans once the weather warms up!  Lots of different colors and styles, some have tassels, some incorporate metals, for lots of different looks.  So cute!

Favorite New Item in My Shop This Week:

Classic Custom Bow Ties for Babies, Toddlers, Boys, and Men

I am so in love with these sweet bowties in my shop!  Number one: they are adorable.  And they come in three different sizes to fit every man or boy in your household!  Number two: they come in super cute fabrics.  Seersucker.  Gingham.  Florals to match mom and sister.  The options are (almost) endless!  Number three: they are fun to make!  That makes a big difference for me when it comes to the production of Goat & Lulu items.  Some of the garments and decor pieces that I make, though totally beautiful or precious, are just a pain make!  But these are quick, cute, and I can finish one in no time.  Perfect for Easter, family and school pictures, all those spring and summer weddings coming up, and just for fun!

And that’s going to do it for me today!  I hope you have a wonderful weekend, and I’ll see you Monday!
